Margie Urrieta Injured, DUI Driver Arrested after Auto Accident near Temecula Parkway
TEMECULA, CA (May 6, 2021) – Sunday night, Rolando Neil Dominguez was arrested after a multi-vehicle collision on 15 Freeway.
The crash happened on northbound I-15, just south of Temecula Parkway around 5:15 P.M.
According to CHP, Dominguez was driving a 2016 Dodge Dart and struck a 2014 Dodge Impala.
Due to the impact of the crash, a chain-reaction accident began. Per reports, the deadly accident involved a Nissan Altima, Ford F-150 pickup and Jeep Cherokee.
Dominguez fled the scene on foot. He was later detained on the Temecula Parkway off-ramp.
Moreover, crews found both cars engulfed in flames. The 57-year-old Impala passenger, Margie Urrieta suffered serious injuries. Paramedics took her to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar in critical condition.
The 57-year-old male driver of the Impala sustained minor injuries and was later released from the hospital. Although, authorities have no yet released his identity.
Dominguez had minor injuries and was booked into Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta for suspicion of felony DUI resulting in great bodily injury and hit-and-run.
