Pedestrian Hospitalized after Being Struck by Vehicle on Highway 99
LYNNWOOD, WA (May 20, 2020) – A woman was struck and injured by a vehicle on Highway 99, Wednesday afternoon.
According to the Lynnwood Police Department, the incident happened at about 12:20 PM. A 32-year-old woman attempted to cross the highway, causing drivers to swerve to avoid a collision. A short time later, a vehicle turning onto the highway hit the pedestrian.
South County Fire medics then transported the victim to Harborview Medical in Seattle with serious injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained and cooperated with investigators.
Lynnwood police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
