Three Hurt after Pursuit Crash on Tujunga Avenue and Erwin Street
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA (February 12, 2020) — Two people traveling in a stolen car were hurt in a pursuit crash on Tujunga Avenue on Tuesday, February 11.
According to North Hollywood Officer Ricardo Alvarez, the crash occurred around 12:40 p.m. on North Tujunga Avenue and Erwin Street.
Police attempted to pull over the stolen vehicle. Yet the driver accelerated and collided into a truck afterward.
North Hollywood Fire Department personnel extricated two of the three people in the stolen vehicle from the wreckage. Medics rushed them to the hospital in critical but stable condition, Alvarez said. Their identity was not available.
Fire department spokesman Brian Humphrey stated that medics rushed another person to a hospital. That patient’s condition was not yet determined.
Officials closed the intersection of Erwin Street and Tujunga Avenue during investigation.
