11 May Thieves Caught by Trail of Macaroni Salad
Outwitted by a side dish!
Three men were charged with burglarizing a restaurant in Mount Morris, New York on Monday May 11th.
The three suspects robbed a Build-A-Burger in Livingston County, taking the cash registers and an entire surveillance system.
While they were robbing the restaurant, they stole a tub of macaroni salad and took their turns eating from the tub during their heist.
Deputies were able to track down the suspects by following the trail of macaroni salad they’d left along their escape route like Hansel and Gretel.
All three men have been charged with third degree burglary, criminal mischief, and grand larceny.
One of the suspects has also been additionally charged for criminal possession of a controlled substance.
According to authorities, most of the stolen property was found in one of the suspect’s homes.
