Driver Hospitalized Following Metrolink Train Collision with Car in Simi Valley
SIMI VALLEY, CA (February 14, 2020) — A driver suffered injuries in a train collision with a car on the tracks in Simi Valley Thursday evening.
The incident involved a Metrolink train on the VC Line 121 to Moorpark. It occurred past 7:00 p.m. at Los Angeles Avenue and Tapo Street.
Emergency responders treated the driver of the car at the scene. They subsequently transported the driver to the local hospital with unknown injuries. On the other hand, no passenger in the train reported any injuries.
Aaccording to the Ventura County Fire officials, the car sustained moderate damage. Meantime, the Metrolink service in the area was delayed. The crash remains under investigation.
