Peggy Kandler ID’d in Deadly Bakersfield Crash near Valley Plaza Mall
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 27, 2019) — A 50-year-old woman died in a two-vehicle crash near Valley Plaza Mall in Bakersfield Sunday afternoon.
The fatal collision occurred shortly after 2:00 p.m. according to the Bakersfield Police Department.
50-year-old Peggy Kandler was attempting onto Hughes Lane from Holden Way when a 20-year-old male driver heading North on Hughes Lane collided with her vehicle.
The police are investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the collision. However, they ruled out speed as a probable cause.
