Pedestrian Injured after Sierra Crash on 80 Freeway
SIERRA, CA (November 29, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle on 80 Freeway in Sierra on Tuesday, November 26.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the first accident happened at about 1:45 p.m. on 80 Freeway in the Sierra. CHP said an SUV and a truck collided.
Both drivers went out of their vehicles and exchanged insurance information while they waited for a tow truck.
After the tow truck arrived, a third vehicle – which lost control – crashed into the SUV, CHP said. This pushed the SUV into one of the drivers who were standing nearby.
CHP said the driver suffered head and leg injuries.
Paramedics brought the pedestrian to the hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
