Motorcycle Rider Killed in Crash on Watt Avenue near Karl Drive
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (February 11, 2020) – A 28-year-old North Highlands man died in a motorcycle crash on Watt Avenue, Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 7:51 PM. A BMW motorcycle was traveling on Watt Avenue at a high rate of speed. Then, the motorcycle slammed into the rear of a 2009 Toyota Corolla. The impact of the crash ejected the man from his motorcycle.
Emergency responders rushed him to Mercy San Juan Medical Center, where he later died. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the Toyota driver remained and cooperated with investigators.
CHP officers continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
