Deadly Pedestrian Accident near 5 Freeway in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 03, 2019) — A 38-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident near 5 Freeway in San Diego Monday morning.
The San Diego police said reports about the collision came in at about 5:00 a.m. on northbound 5 Freeway to India Street. A Chrysler minivan struck and fatally injured the pedestrian near the exit ramp.
Emergency crews transported the man to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. On the other hand, the 55-year-old driver of the minivan remained at the scene.
Meantime, the authorities closed the off-ramp and northbound India Street from Laurel Street during their investigation. All lanes and the ramp reopened at around 8:40 a.m.
