1 Injured after Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 49 in Auburn
AUBURN, CA (March 31, 2020) – One person sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 49, Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Auburn Police Department, the incident happened at about 2:00 PM. Due to unknown circumstances, a Subaru Forester and a Hyundai Veloster collided near Elm Avenue and Auburn Ravine Road.
The Auburn Fire Department rendered aid to at least one person, but it is unknown whether or not the victim needed hospitalization.
Officers temporarily shut down affected areas to make way for an investigation and clearing operations. All lanes were later reopened at 2:40 PM.
APD continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
