Frankie Sanchez Fatally Injured after Crows Landing Hit-and-Run Crash
CROWS LANDING, CA (April 3, 2020) – A 51-year-old bicyclist, Frankie Sanchez of Patterson, died in a hit-and-run crash before 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 1.
The initial investigation shows Sanchez rode west on Marshall Road, just east of Tulip Avenue. Then a GM pickup or SUV was struck him from behind and fled.
Emergency responders pronounced Sanchez dead at the scene.
CHP said that the driver fled. Based on a part left at the crash site, the CHP said the vehicle he or she was driving was a 2000-2006 GM pickup or SUV. Some of the vehicles that match this category are Chevrolet Silverado or Avalanche, Chevrolet Tahoe or Suburban, GMC Sierra or GMC Yukon.
The involved vehicle possibly had front and right side collision damage. The vehicle is likely to still have its passenger’s side mirror assembly. Yet it is missing its actual mirror/glass.
Any person with information about the case can call the Modesto Area CHP at 209-545-7440 or 209-356-2900.
Our deepest condolences remain with the family and friends of Frankie Sanchez as they try to piece together what happened.
