Four Dead after Wells Head-on Accident on Highway 93
WELLS, NV (February 14, 2020) – Four people died in a head-on accident on Highway 93 at about 25 miles south of Wells on Sunday, February 9.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:40 a.m. and shut down a 38-mile stretch of the main north-south highway in eastern Nevada.
The NHP stated that a 2019 Subaru Impreza from Oregon moved north of Highway 93. Then its driver attempted to pass in a no-passing zone with double yellow lines. It collided in the southbound lane with a 2019 Hyundai Sonata going south.
Each vehicle had one passenger and all four died at the scene, NHP stated.
The identities of the deceased are yet released pending next of kin notification.
The investigation is still ongoing.
