Police Looking for Driver Involved in Hit-and-Run Crash on South 43rd Street
LEGACY WALK, CA (February 9, 2020) – Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver involved in a crash on South 43rd Street, Sunday morning.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened near Interstate 805, at about 3:30 AM. A Dodge Challenger lost control and plowed down a traffic light. Then, the driver exited the wrecked vehicle and fled the area on foot.
Emergency crews arrived and found the car empty. It is unknown whether or not injuries were sustained in the crash.
San Diego police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
