43-Year-Old Christine Herrera Dies after Pedestrian Accident on Little Orchard Street
SAN JOSE, CA (November 14, 2019) – Authorities identified 43-year-old Christine Herrera as the woman killed in a pedestrian crash on Little Orchard Street, Thursday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 6:13 PM. Herrera was walking northbound on the roadway when a 1999 Isuzu Rodeo struck her.
Emergency responders rushed Herrera to the hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment. Meanwhile, authorities arrested the Isuzu driver, identified as Robert Allan Watts, on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
CHP officials continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
