On Monday night, an 8-year-old boy was struck and killed in a Ladera Ranch bicycle accident.
The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Orange Blossom Circle when an Acura, who failed to see the boy ride into the street from a walkway, struck him. The second-grader was rushed by ambulance to a nearby Mission Hospital where he later died.
Authorities are still conducting an investigation.
