Bernard Judis Fatally Injured after Two-Car Crash on Jones Boulevard
LAS VEGEAS, NV (February 14, 2020) — An 86-year-old man identified as Bernard Judis of Las Vegas died after a two-car crash on Monday, February 3.
According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the crash occurred at Jones Boulevard and Desert Inn Road.
Police stated that a Volkswagen Jetta tried to turn left from eastbound Desert Inn to northbound Jones.
The Volkswagen turned into the path of a 2017 Ford Edge that was heading west. Then the Ford struck the right front of the Volkswagen, according to LVMPD. The Ford struck a curb as a result of the incident and caused it to overturn.
Paramedics transported Judis, the driver of the Volkswagen, to UMC in critical condition. He died from his injuries Wednesday.
The driver of the Ford, identified as a 55-year-old Las Vegas man, did not wear a seat belt. Medics also brought him to UMC with major injuries.
Authorities do not believe intoxication played a role in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.
