Person Airlifted Following Taft Collision on Gardner Field Road
TAFT, CA (November 27, 2019) — Three people suffered injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Gardner Field Road east of Taft Saturday night.
The crash involved a car and a pickup truck. It occurred just west of the California Aqueduct at about 9:25 p.m.
The Taft Police did not make details on the accident immediately available. However, the firefighters said one person in the car suffered major injuries. On the other hand, two people in the pickup had moderate injuries.
Emergency crews took the injured party from the car to Taft Airport. They subsequently airlifted the patient to Kern Medical for treatment of multiple injuries.
There are indications that at least one person in the car fled the scene of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
