Candy Godkin Fatally Injured in 2-Car Accident on Greg Street [Reno, NV]
31-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Rollover Crash near Marietta Way
RENO, NV (November 30, 2023) – Early Friday morning, Candy Godkin was fatally injured in a 2-car accident on Greg Street.
Authorities responded to the scene around 2:35 a.m., near Marietta Way on November 24th.
Per reports, Godkin was heading east on Greg Street. Meanwhile, Yulisa Esparaza-Salazar was heading west and veered into the eastbound lanes, resulting in a head-on collision.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 31-year-old Godkin dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Esparaza-Salazar suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and paramedics transported her to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Following preliminary duties, the Sparks Police Department arrested Esparaza-Salazar with DUI charges causing death and she was booked to Washoe County Jail.
