Haloman Tellez-Zelaya Arrested Following Deadly Motorcycle Crash on West Foothill Boulevard [Rialto, CA]

Car-Motorcycle Collision near Renaissance Center Shopping Mall Resulted in Fatality

RIALTO, CA (November 21, 2023) – Police arrested Haloman Tellez-Zelaya Saturday afternoon after a fatal two-vehicle crash on West Foothill Boulevard.

Police received reports of the incident around 12:15 p.m. at the 1400 block of West Foothill Blvd, near Reinassance Center shopping mall.

According to the investigators, a black Nissan Maxima attempted to make a U-turn from eastbound Foothill in front of a motorcycle.

Authorities claimed that the motorcycle going westbound in the left lane of Foothill Boulevard collided with the Maxima.

Unfortunately, the first responders declared the motorcyclist dead at the scene. However, the deceased rider remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.

Meanwhile, authorities arrested the Nissan driver – 36-year-old Haloman Tellez-Zelaya of Fontana– for vehicular manslaughter. Police determined that Tellez-Zelaya did not have his driver’s license at the time of the crash.

Ultimately, Rialto Officials booked Tellez-Zelaya in West Valley Detention Center on a $500,000 bail.
