Car Crash near Bailey Road Resulted in Fatality

PITTSBURG, CA (November 21, 2023) – Early Monday morning, a two-car collision on Highway 4 in Pittsburg claimed the life of one person.

The deadly crash happened around 2:57 a.m. along the eastbound lanes of the highway at Bailey Road.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. Responding emergency personnel declared one person dead at the scene.

The Pittsburg Officials will release the identity of the deceased driver once the next of kin has been notified. It remains unclear if the other driver involved sustained injuries from the collision.

In the end, the California Highway Patrol closed down all the eastbound lanes of Highway 4 as crews cleared the scene. However, the roadway has since been reopened to the public.

Pittsburg Authorities are still launching an active investigation into the fatal crash.
