Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near 50th Avenue East

FREDERICKSON, WA (November 20, 2023) – Wednesday evening, one rider was fatally struck in a motorcycle accident on 176th Street East.

According to the Pierce County deputies, a stolen motorcycle driven by a 50-year-old man ran over a red light at the intersection, just east of Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Furthermore, the rider was traveling in and out of traffic while driving at high speeds in the eastbound lanes. The rider then struck a vehicle upon driving through a stop sign.

Consequently, a passerby performed first-aid to the rider until the authorities arrived. Paramedics arrived at the scene and transported the rider to the hospital.

Unfortunately, the rider succumbed to his injuries and passed away. At this time, his identity has not yet been released by the authorities, and further investigation is currently underway.
