49-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies after a Collision with SUV
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (November 20, 2023) – On Wednesday afternoon, a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV took the life of Michael Campbell.
It took place at the 4600 block of Weber Road near Lamont Street around 5:00 p.m., November 1st.
According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, the incident involved an SUV and 49-year-old motorcyclist, identified as Campbell.
Furthermore, the SUV and the motorcycle collided along the area where Campbell ended up suffering life-threatening injuries.
Consequently, responding emergency personnel transported Campbell to the hospital and unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Upon investigation, the officers determined that Campbell headed northbound when he drove between two lanes and crashed to the SUV turning east onto the 4000 block of Lamont Street.
Meanwhile, the driver involved remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. Speed is listed as the primary factor of the crash, and an active investigation is currently underway.
