19-Year-Old Man Dies after Speeding Incident on Gold Links Road

TUCSON, AZ (November 20, 2023) – On Saturday morning, police responded to a single-vehicle crash that killed Antonio Salvatore Cimino.

The incident took place on East Gold Links Road shortly after 10:30 a.m., November 11th, involving only a 1990 Chrysler Lebaron driven by 19-year-old Cimino.

Upon investigation, the Tucson Police Department determined that Cimino headed eastbound on Golf Links Road at high speeds when he tried to avoid another vehicle.

As a result, he lost control of the Chrysler struck a center median, and ended up hitting a tree. Unfortunately, Cimino died at the scene due to the impact of the crash.

Furthermore, the authorities stated that speed was the major factor in the incident and that Cimino was not wearing a seatbelt at that time.
