One Pronounced Dead after Head-On Accident near Mile Post 227

GLOBE, AZ (November 17, 2023) – Thursday morning, a head-on collision on US 60 left one person dead and two people hurt.

First responders arrived to the scene near Mile Post 227 and 41 after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

According to reports, multiple vehicles collided in the area. However, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the male driver of one of the sedans dead, due to the extent of his condition. Although, authorities have not yet released his identity.

In addition, a female occupant from the same vehicle suffered serious injuries. The driver of the other sedan also received treatment for various injuries.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties.
