Dog Killed, Pedestrian Hurt in Hit-and-Run Collision near 42nd Avenue
SAN MATEO, CA (November 16, 2023) – Friday morning, a hit-and-run crash on Edison Street that left a dog dead led to the arrest of Armen Grigorian.
Police responded to the scene around 8:31 a.m., at the intersection of 42nd Avenue and Edison Street in the city of San Mateo.
Upon arrival, officers discovered the pedestrian lying in the middle of the intersection with serious injuries. Investigators claimed that the man was walking his daughter’s dog “Lola” at the time of the accident.
The dog sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the male pedestrian to a local trauma center for immediate medical attention.
Authorities eventually located the driver of a white Toyota Tacoma that was involved in the collision. Police arrested and booked 31-year-old Armen Grigorian into the San Mateo County Jail for hit-and-run charges.
