One Pronounced Dead after Three-Vehicle Accident near Fairway Drive
AVONDALE, AZ (November 16, 2023) – Thursday morning, one victim was killed in a three-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 10.
Around 10:30 a.m., police responded to the scene near Fairway Drive and Avondale Boulevard on November 9th.
Officers responded to the westbound HOV lane after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area. However, the events leading up to the deadly incident remain unclear.
Upon arrival, first responders located one vehicle overturned on its roof. In addition, two other vehicles sustained significant damage.
In addition, crews extricated one victim who was trapped inside the overturned vehicle. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the severely injured victim dead at a hospital.
Emergency personnel blocked off the westbound lanes during clearing operations and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided about the rollover crash on Interstate 10.
