37-Year-Old Female Motorcyclist Dies after Colliding with Truck near Empire Boulevard
SAN TAN VALLEY, AZ (November 10, 2023) – Late Saturday evening, Sarah Farmer-Herrera was killed in a motorcycle accident on Gary Road.
Police responded to the scene around 11:00 p.m., near Empire Boulevard on November 4th.
Officers say Farmer was riding a motorcycle south on Gary Road when the driver of a truck turned left in front of her. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 37-year-old Farmer-Herrera dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the truck driver remained at the scene and he was evaluated for DUI. At this time, a blood result is still pending.
Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, further details will be provided.
