Unidentified Woman Fatally Struck by Metro-Bus near Battery Street

SEATTLE, WA (November 14, 2023) – One woman was killed Saturday afternoon in a metro-bus accident on 5th Avenue.

The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m., near Battery Street on November 4th.

For reasons under investigation, the driver of a red sedan struck a Metro bus that occupied by multiple people. Upon impact, the bus was pushed into a female pedestrian who was standing outside of a building.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

Meanwhile, the driver and 10 passengers of the bus sustained injuries, while one was listed in critical state.

Meanwhile, the driver of the red sedan was trapped inside his vehicle and firefighters made efforts to extricate him. He was then transported to Harborview Medical Center in critical state.

During cleanup and preliminary duties, the driver was evaluated for impairment. At this time, an active investigation is still ongoing.
