Motorcycle vs. Vehicle Crash on Pecos Road Resulted in One Death
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 8, 2023) – On Sunday evening, police responded to a collision on Washington Avenue and Pecos Road.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the incident occurred around 9:35 p.m., October 29th, involving a 2009 Dodge Durango and a 2002 Suzuki DR-Z400E.
Furthermore, they arrived at the scene where they found the Dodge and the Suzuki collided. Also, the 23-year-old rider was found with life-threatening injuries.
Consequently, responding paramedics transported the rider to UMC where he later succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
Upon investigation, the officers learned that the Dodge was traveling southbound on Pecos while the Suzuki headed westbound on Washington Avenue approaching Pecos Road.
Moreover, both the Dodge and the Suzuki entered the intersection and collided. The rider was ejected from his motorcycle.
Meanwhile, the Dodge driver stayed at the scene and the authorities evaluated him. He displayed no signs of impairment. Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
The authorities added no other details, and an active investigation is still ongoing.
