Pedestrian Versus Car Collision at Princess Anne Drive Left One Dead
SAN JOSE, CA (September 26, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed in a mobility scooter accident on Fruitdale Avenue in San Jose on Friday morning.
The fatal collision happened around 10:31 a.m. at 2000 Fruidale Avenue at Princess Anne Drive.
According to the SJPD, a 2017 Nissan sedan collided with a man on a mobility scooter crossing Fruidale Avenue. Investigators claimed that the man was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk.
Unfortunately, medical personnel declared the pedestrian deceased upon arriving at the hospital. Additionally, his identity has not been released to the public, pending notification from her relatives.
Meanwhile, the Nissan driver stayed at the scene and fully cooperated with the investigators. A portion of the area was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
