Two Pronounced Dead after Fiery Head-On Accident near Saguaro Lake
MARICOPA COUNTY, AZ (September 14, 2023) – Late Friday night, two victims were killed in a head-on collision on Bush Highway.
Police responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m., just west of Saguaro Lake about 8 miles southeast of Fort McDowell on September 1st.
For reasons under investigation, two vehicles collided head-on in the area. Shortly after, one of the vehicles became engulfed in flames.
A passing vehicle driven by a retired firefighter, Chris Bebout, with his partner, Samantha Trenou, witnessed the incident and offered assistance.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the drivers of both vehicles dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics rushed their passengers to a nearby hospital for further treatment of serious injuries.
At this time, an active investigation to determine more details about the fatal head-on collision on Bush Highway is still currently underway. Once available, more information will be provided.
