One Hospitalized after Head-On Car Accident near Interstate 90
ISSAQUAH, WA (August 28, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, one victim sustained injuries in a head-on collision on State Route 18.
Police responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m., just west of Interstate 90 on August 23rd.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle veered into the center median and collided head-on with a pickup-truck. In addition, one driver was trapped inside their vehicle.
Emergency crews arrived and extricated the injured victim from inside the vehicle. Paramedics then transported the victim to Harborview Medical Center for further treatment.
Officers blocked the freeway between I-90 and Issaquah Hobart Road during cleanup and preliminary duties. Around 8:00 a.m., crews cleared the roadway and lifted the closure.
At this time, impairment was not suspected as a factor of the incident, and further investigation is still underway. Once available, further details will be provided.
