Jose Marco Gonzalez-Olivares Pronounced Dead Following Hit-and-Run on 20th Street [Palmdale, CA]

31-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash Near West Avenue N 

PALMDALE, CA (May 17, 2023) – Thursday night, Jose Marco Gonzalez-Olivares was killed by a hit-and-run driver on 20th Street. 

Officers responded to the fatal collision around 11:19 p.m. at 20th Street and West Avenue N in the city of Palmdale.

Upon arrival, police discovered a man lying in the roadway suffering from serious injuries. 

According to a witness, a gray Honda Civic with a missing front bumper struck the pedestrian with the front end of their vehicle. 

However, the driver fled the scene and did not render aid to the victim. 

Unfortunately, the pedestrian died at the scene. The coroner’s office later identified the deceased victim as 31-year-old Jose Marco Gonzalez-Olivares. 

At this time, the identity of the hit-and-run suspect remains unknown.
