Vehicle Accident near Franklin Boulevard Left 1 Fatality

ELK GROVE, CA (May 9, 2023) – On Thursday, the police responded to a crash near Calvine Road that claimed the life of Demetrianna Duncan.

According to the Elk Grove police, the incident took place near Calvine Road and Franklin Boulevard.

Investigation showed that the officers have located a stolen vehicle occupied by four people and attempted to stop it but did not continue to pursue it.

Consequently, the vehicle drove off and traveled at high speed causing a collision with another vehicle.

Unfortunately, 19-year-old Duncan, an occupant of the suspect vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Furthermore, four other occupants of the suspect vehicle suffered injuries while three on the involved vehicle.

Following the crash, the responding officers transported all injured people with minor to major wounds to the hospital. Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties but have since been reopened.

No additional information was released by the authorities and further investigation is still underway.
