One Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Collision near Eastern Avenue, One Other Injured
LAS VEGAS, NV (March 7, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a 42-year-old motorcyclist died following a two-vehicle accident on Flamingo Road.
The accident took place along Flamingo Road and Eastern Avenue at around 3:57 p.m. on February 18th.
According to reports, a motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Flamingo Road in the far right lane when a white 2014 Jeep Compass also traveling eastbound made a left turn from the center lane.
The motorcycle collided with the Jeep on the passenger side door as a result. Tragically, first responders declared the rider dead at the scene.
At this time, police have only identified the victim as a 42-year-old man; their name will be released once the next of kin has been notified.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Jeep, a 75-year-old Las Vegas woman, suffered minor injuries, and officers ruled out impairment.
Furthermore, the fatal crash on Flamingo Road caused a temporary road closure for clearing and preliminary duties.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department will release additional information as it becomes available, but an active investigation is underway.
