Three Dead, Three Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Crash near Citrus Avenue
FONTANA, CA (February 6, 2023) – Early Saturday, three victims were killed and three were hurt in a wrong-way accident on 210 Freeway.
Authorities responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m., near Citrus Avenue.
Per reports, the driver of a 2012 Ford sedan was traveling the wrong way on the freeway and collided with an oncoming 2001 Lexus SUV.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the 23-year-old Ford driver from Fontana and the 43-year-old Lexus driver from Highland dead at the scene.
In addition, a 16-year-old passenger from the Lexus also succumbed to their injuries after being taken a local hospital.
Meanwhile, responding medics rushed the other three passengers from inside the Lexus to a hospital with significant injuries. The injured passengers included a 5-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy, and a 42-year-old woman.
At this time, the identities of the people remain undisclosed to the public. Officers encourage those with further information to contact their offices as soon as possible.
