James Henry Flournoy Arrested after Car Crash on Francisco Boulevard West [San Rafael, CA]

44-Year-Old Man Charged after Stolen Vehicle Collision at San Rafael Yacht Club

SAN RAFAEL, CA (January 27, 2023) – Monday afternoon, police arrested James Henry Flournoy after a car crash on Francisco Boulevard West.

Police arrived to the scene around 4:45 p.m., in a Mercedez-Benz dealership parking lot on Francisco Boulevard West on December 8th. 

According to witness reports, Flournoy walked inside the service garage and fled in a 2021 black Mercedes GLS450 SUV.

Eventually, responding officers located the stolen vehicle and its driver at the San Rafael Yacht Club. The suspect then attempted the flee the scene by pinning the officer’s driver-side door, leaving one officer with injuries.

Authorities later arrested 44-year-old Flournoy, of Oakland for assault with a deadly weapon and other related charges. 

Meanwhile, paramedics transported the injured officer to a hospital for unspecified injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity. Those with additional information about the crash are encouraged to contact the San Rafael Police at (415) 485-3000.
