Pickup Truck Collision near Campbell Way Left Two Fatalities
OXNARD, CA (January 13, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, Jennifer Antillon and Irasema Rodriguez were both pronounced dead after a pickup truck collision.
Oxnard Officials and fire rescue responded to the incident around 3:58 a.m., near the intersection of Perkins Road and Campbell Way.
According to initial reports, a pickup traveling south on Perkins Road wrecked into some parked vehicles along the side of the roadway, before finally overturning.
Upon arrival, officials discovered the destroyed 2004 Ford F-150 with two occupants inside. Unfortunately, the two women succumbed to their injuries at the scene, despite the life-saving efforts of the firefighters.
Authorities later identified the 21-year-old driver as Jennifer Antillon and her 23-year-old passenger, Irasema Rodriguez.
Police claimed that alcohol played a factor; however, Oxnard Officials continued investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
