Mykael Terrell Arrested after Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Fremont Street
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 9, 2023) – Wednesday evening, Kristie Baxter and William Baxter Jr. died in a DUI hit-and-run crash on 4th Street.
The accident happened on December 28th, at around 7:40 p.m. near Fremont Street.
According to reports, Mykael Terrell struck two pedestrians who were crossing the street. But it is unclear whether the pedestrians were crossing in an unmarked crosswalk.
Terrell reportedly fled the scene and failed to render aid to the victims. Paramedics then arrived and pronounced one of the victims, 44-year-old William Baxter Jr., dead on the scene.
Meanwhile, the other victim, 51-year-old Kristie Baxter, died in the hospital from blunt force injuries.
Authorities charged Terrell, 28, with two counts of reckless driving, DUI resulting in death, and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
