31-Year-Old Man Injured in Pedestrian Collision near Park Avenue
APTOS, CA (December 9, 2022) – Wednesday evening, one man was airlifted after a pedestrian accident on Highway 1.
The incident happened around 6:48 p.m., just south of Park Avenue in Santa Cruz County.
According to the report, a 61-year-old Capitola woman, driving a 2014 Acura RDX, hit a pedestrian under unclear circumstances.
The Acura driver pulled over and stayed at the scene until the California Highway Patrol officers arrived.
Responding paramedics airlifted the injured male pedestrian to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.
Authorities have ruled out alcohol or drugs to be a factor in the collision. Santa Cruz County officials continue to investigate the Highway 1 pedestrian accident.
