Driver Arrested after Hit-and-Run Accident near Chester Avenue
BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 8, 2022) – A man was injured and Jerry Aguirre was arrested after a hit-and-run crash on 4th Street, Thursday night.
Officers responded to the scene around 8:46 p.m., near Chester Avenue.
Upon arrival, paramedics located a man lying in the roadway with serious injuries and transported him to Kern Medical for further treatment.
At this time, the unidentified male pedestrian remains in critical condition. The next day, authorities managed to arrest 70-year-old Aguirre for suspicion of hit-and-run causing injury.
