Two Victims Fatally Struck in Two-Car Collision near Finger Avenue

REDWOOD CITY, CA (November 8, 2022) – Friday night, Greg Ammen and Grace Spiridon were killed in a fiery crash on El Camino Real.

The incident happened around 7:56 p.m., near Finger Avenue.

Per reports, the 17-year-old driver of a vehicle was traveling at high rates of speed and collided with another car, causing one vehicle to catch fire.

Emergency crews arrived and located both damaged vehicles on the sidewalk of El Camino Real.

The car that was hit was occupied by Ammen and his family. After extinguishing the flames, officers pronounced 44-year-old Ammen and 42-year-old Spiridon, of Palo Alto dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics transported the 17-year-old driver and two of their passengers to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Ammen and Spiridon now leave behind their two 7-year-old twin daughters, Madison and Olivia Ammen. A GoFundMe has been set up to support Madison Ammen and Olivia Ammen, in the wake of their tragic loss.

In addition, officers later arrested the 17-year-old speeding driver and booked him into juvenile hall.
