Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run on Avenal Cutoff Road [Kings County, CA]
Rider Killed in Motorcycle Accident near Lincoln Avenue
KINGS COUNTY, CA (October 6, 2022) – Friday morning, a motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run on Avenal Cutoff Road.
The deadly collision happened just before 6:00 a.m., near Lincoln Avenue.
Per reports, the driver of a vehicle turned in front of a southbound motorcyclist. The rider then struck the side of the car, ejecting him onto the road.
Shortly after, a passing semi-truck also struck the rider. However, they did not stop or render aid to the severely injured victim.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced the motorcyclist rider dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
At this time, authorities are looking into the camera footage retrieved from the scene as part of the investigation. Those with further information regarding the Avenal Cutoff Road hit-and-run are encouraged to contact local authorities as soon as possible.
