Pedestrian Struck by Multiple Cars near 75th Avenue
PHOENIX, AZ (August 15, 2022) – Sunday night, a pedestrian was fatally struck in a collision on Interstate 10.
The incident happened at around 10:50 p.m. on Interstate 10, near 75th Avenue.
According to reports, a pedestrian was walking on the freeway, for reasons currently unclear. There, they were struck by multiple vehicles.
Emergency crews responded to the site of the accident and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is currently withholding the identity of the victim, pending investigation and notification of next of kin.
At this time, it is unclear how many vehicles were involved in the cars-on-pedestrian collisions. However, an active investigation is underway. Phoenix police ask that anyone with further information on the collision on Interstate 10 call them at their offices as soon as possible.
