Bicyclist Fatally Struck in Deadly Accident near Camelback Road

PHOENIX, AZ (August 15, 2022) – One man was pronounced dead Wednesday evening, after a bicycle crash on 39th Avenue.

The accident happened near 39th Avenue and Camelback Road just before 10:00 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to Phoenix Police, a bicyclist was struck by multiple vehicles in the roadway. Furthermore, it was reported that at least one of the drivers stayed at the scene to cooperate with law enforcement.

Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to the hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Authorities only described the bicyclist as a man in his 60’s.

Meanwhile, the involved driver showed no signs of impairment. At this time, the cause of the fatal bicycle crash is still under active investigation.
