Three Victims Dead after Multi-Vehicle Accident near Mile Post 153

WILLIAMS, AZ (August 4, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, three victims were killed in a semi-truck collision on Interstate 40.

The big-rig crash happened on the eastbound lanes of the highway near mile post 153 on July 26th.

At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unknown. However, reports indicate that the accident involved a passenger car and two semi-trucks.

In addition, emergency responders had to extricate all occupants from the passenger vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced three people dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, medics transported a fourth occupant with serious injuries to a nearby hospital for further treatment. Officers have not yet released the names of those involved, pending notification of next of kin.

The big-rig crash caused temporary lane closures on the eastbound lanes of I-40, which have since reopened. An active investigation is still currently underway.
