Woman Walking Her Dog Hurt in Traffic Accident on Illinois Street

SAN DIEGO, CA (July 27, 2022) – Wednesday night, a pedestrian was injured in a collision while walking her dog on Illinois Street

The incident happened on July 20th, at around 9:00 p.m., in the 4400 block of Illinois Street.

According to officials, the woman was walking her dog eastbound on Illinois Street, when her dog dragged her into the street. Subsequently, a 2003 BMW Z4 driven by a 61-year-old man headed southbound, struck her, leaving her with serious injuries.

Emergency responders arrived shortly after and rushed the woman to a nearby hospital. Medics report that she had a brain bleed, a fractured left tibia and fibula, and various lacerations and abrasions.
