2 Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Martin Luther King Jr. Way [Berkeley, CA]

2 Elderly Individuals Hospitalized after Traffic Accident on Addison Street

BERKELEY, CA (July 19, 2022) – Two unidentified persons sustained injuries Sunday in a pedestrian accident on Martin Luther King Jr. Way.

The incident took place along MLJK Way and Addison Street on July 10th, per initial reports.

Furthermore, as per reports, officials responded and found two persons, ages 74 and 76, struck by an unspecified vehicle traveling southbound.

Consequently, responding paramedics then rushed the two seriously injured victims to the hospital.

However, officials are withholding their names and current conditions for the time being.

Meanwhile, the driver,  a 78-year-old woman, stayed at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Moreover, the crash temporarily closed MLKJ Way for several hours but has since reopened.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, the cause of the accident and the factors involved remain under investigation.
