Boni Marie Sturges Injured, Man Dead after Fatal 2-Car Crash near McCray Street [Oildale, CA]

43-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Accident on West China Grade Loop

OILDALE, CA (July 18, 2022) – Tuesday morning, a man was killed and Boni Marie Sturges was injured in a 2-car crash near McCray Street.

The collision happened on July 12th, around 9:38 a.m. Dispatchers arrived at the intersection of West China Grade Loop and McCray Street.

According to reports, a man was driving a Chevrolet Silverado westbound on West China Grade Loop. Meanwhile, Sturges was driving north on McCray Street in a Volvo XC90 when the two vehicles collided.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the 43-year-old Chevy driver dead at the scene. In addition, crews transported Sturges to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Following preliminary investigations, police determined that alcohol or drugs were not potential factors in the deadly collision. At this time, an active investigation into the incident is still underway.
