One Dead, Four Injured after Head-On Collision on U.S. 60

SURPRISE, AZ (June 29, 2022) – Saturday, just before midnight, a wrong-way crash on U.S 60 claimed the life of George Weeks.

Authorities responded to a head-on crash U.S. 60 at mile marker 137, near Deer Valley Road, on June 25th.

Initial investigation stated that Weeks was driving a BMW SUV traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on into a Toyota Sequoia.

As a result, 68-year-old Weeks was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the occupants of the Toyota suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and were hospitalized by paramedics.

No further details about the fatal collision are currently available to the public. An active investigation is underway at this time.
